MIRA


Mira Manoo-Choquette was born July 6, 1982, and studied music beginning in the F.A.C.E. primary school, later participating in choral groups at the age of 10.

Having won a talent show contest in high school Mira was encouraged to develop her interests, eventually finding her niche in the club and lounge scene.

With a preference for jazz and rhythm & blues, Mira is making a splash on the Montreal hip-hop scene. She’s also enthralled by latin sounds, and lately in particular the music of Antilles.

« I owe my voice, my ear and my musical interests to my father Denis, who is an artist, guitarist, luthier and an excellent musician. I owe my mindset and eclectic tastes to my growing up in the most artistic and open neighbourhood in Montreal, the Plateau Mont Royal.»
